The MARSHMALLOW OVERCOAT surfaced in the ‘80s, spearheading the underground garage music revival of the 1980s all the way through the new millennium to now. They are now readying a a 30-song “best of” audio collection, designed to be produced as a 2-LP set, on colored vinyl, in a full-color fold-out gatefold cover! (1/3 of the songs are new or will make their VINYL DEBUT!) Original producer Timothy Gassen (also the band’s vocalist) has meticulously remastered the original tapes. (Tim was affectionately named “The Guru of Garage” by legendary Bomp! Records’ honcho Greg Shaw, and he is known by many garage fans as the author of the garage-psych ”Knights of Fuzz” books, newspaper articles and DVD releases.
