On paper, Ms. Fisher’s offending act was that she sent emails during the school day to help one of her students with a Kickstarter fund-raiser. The student, Aaron Philip, 13, has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around. He wanted to write a book and create a multimedia story about a boy born with legs in a world where everyone else has wheels. Since he was too young to set up his own project on Kickstarter, an online fund-raising platform, Ms. Fisher said she would help. (Read More)
