Moggie, an AI-powered cat activity tracker, is transforming cat owners into veritable cat whisperers, with the ability to monitor their feline friends' well-being while enjoying a wildly entertaining and engaging experience. Moggie has announced the start of its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter with the goal to collaborate with fellow cat-fanatics to build a community of tech savvy cat-lovers.

A collaboration between a designer from the Royal College of Arts and a machine learning engineer from MIT, Moggie is a collar-mounted gadget that continuously tracks a variety of cat behaviors, including sleep patterns, playtime, jumping, running, and resting. The Moggie app presents this data in an easy-to-navigate dashboard, offering cat owners insights into their pets' daily lives, habits, and potential health concerns, turning the guessing into knowing.

The cutting-edge machine learning technology behind Moggie enables it to establish a health baseline for each cat, monitoring any deviations and alerting cat owners to subtle changes that may indicate health issues. Moggie can help vets more quickly uncover up to 80 percent of illnesses that can be detected through changes in activity, such as diabetes, osteoarthritis, liver disease, stress, depression and much more. This enables earlier detection and treatment to reduce any potential suffering while also improving the overall health and life expectancy of the pet.

To date, Moggie has raised over US$500,000; US$200,000 of which came from their recent acceptance into the Leap Venture Studio accelerator program where they collaborated with award-winning strategists, technologists, designers, and consultants from Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals, and R/GA Ventures

Now, Moggie is turning toward its users. Rather than seeking further VC funding, they want to strengthen their community and learn from their users around the world. Through crowdfunding, Moggie is inviting fellow cat-lovers in as co-creators who can help shape the future of their products by sharing more about their unique needs and experiences across the globe.

With the funding they crowdsource, they aim to create product awareness, grow their team, and scale their manufacturing efforts.
