Looking to bring a new game into the beat ‘em up genre, O.T.K Games has been developing their title Detained: Too Good for School. To help make it happen, they partnered with publisher Thermite Games who has helped them create a Kickstarter page that met success within 14 hours of going live!

In fact, crowdfunding is going so well that the stretch goals to bring the game to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch have all already been met. With more than three weeks remaining to get funded further and reach even more stretch goals, including an online multiplayer option, funders and anticipating players can look forward to playing this game on any platform, not just PC via Steam.

On the first day of school after transferring to a new city, you got framed and ended up in jail. After one year of probation, you set out to discover who set you up. Find a partner, get familiar with the city, make money by taking part-time jobs, increase your abilities and unveil the truth.

There’s a free demo for Detained: Too Good for School on their Steam page for those that want to get a sample of what this game has to offer before helping fund it further. Either way, it does look pretty good. Just look at this Kickstarter trailer:
