A Fiery Kickstarter Launch For SET A WATCH: SWORDS OF THE COIN Expansion

The standalone adventure for Set a Watch is now available on Kickstarter until October 15th! The Swords of the Coin expansion funded in 30 minutes, which is a crazy fast and successful funding run.

As of this writing, the game has raised more than 400% its initial target with almost 2000 backers eager to bring the highly-anticipated game to life.

The cooperative game for one to four players is getting bigger and better with the Swords of the Coin expansion.

This is one of the best small-box games that I’ve played. A year ago, it was my first board game review and I was impressed by the large adventure that was stuffed into such a small, clever package. The magnetic box, the integrated map, and the exciting mechanics made for a special D&D-inspired fight in the darkened woods.

Now, one year later, Set a Watch: Swords of the Coin offers a return to that same adventure puzzle game by forcing players to endure a 60-90 minute struggle with new foes and a coin-collecting system that introduces new twists and turns.

Don’t fear, though, because the expansion is compatible with the original game, so all of the content can be mixed together for some fearsome and memorable gameplay.

Here’s what you can get in the new Kickstarter:

I’m really pumped that this game is getting more content. I enjoyed my time with Set a Watch and I look forward to any chance to jump back in and introduce more friends to the game.

Are there any Kickstarter projects you’ve back recently? If so, let us know in the comments.
