If you've watched all the Harry Potter films so many times that you feel like you practically belong in the wizarding world, then listen up!

Some Potterhead (and let's face it, pure genius) has created a muggle version of the magical clock from the Weasleys' house in Harry Potter.

As any fan will know, the Weasley family clock was located at the Burrow and helped keep track of where the individual family members were at all times.

So if you're all about checking in on a family member or simply spying on your spouse, this magical Harry Potter-inspired invention will aid your snooping ways...

The Eta Clock is a new Kickstarter project from a startup called DC Creatives that works with your phone's GPS to track your family's location and then displays it for everyone to see.

Much like its magical counterpart from JK Rowling's books, the connected clock features a series of icons that are associated with locations or behaviours, ranging from being at set family, friend or work addresses, to being at a major hospital or airport, or even travelling at any speed faster than 3mph.

The clock's different colour hands are assigned to family members, each of whom has the accompanying app on their phone. Locations are automatically updated, without any need to check in from the user.

The start-up states: "The Eta Clock isn't your ordinary clock – it doesn't tell time. Instead, it keeps you connected to those who matter most, exchanging time for location.

"The Eta Clock tells you where the people in your life spend their time, with each hand representing a person in your connection circle and each segment of the clock face corresponding to a destination.

"As the people in your life proceed throughout their day, the clock hands mimic their movements, traveling to and from destinations like 'Work' and 'Home'."

The website adds: "The Eta Clock wall-hanging device works in conjunction with our Eta Clock mobile app.

"Mobile devices broadcast their geolocation coordinates to our secure server, which acts simply as a proxy, relaying those coordinates to your at-home Eta Clock device.

"No need to stare at a tiny map on your phone or request an update, the Eta Clock is always waiting for new coordinates and displays the whereabouts of your friends and family as a piece of wall-hanging art. "

If you've got a whole load of galleons stashed away in Gringotts, the magical clock is expected to retail at $500 (£378.72).

But if you haven't got a spare 400 quid, rest assured that Arthur Weasley would be totally obsessed with you.
