Das Wafel food truck has hit its Kickstarter goal and hopes to be operating by Black Friday.
The Lancaster-based business will serve “sweet dessert wafels, savory wafels based on reimagined classic sandwiches and dishes, veggie wafels and classic brunch fare daily,” according to its Kickstarter page.
With four hours still go to in the $25,000 campaign, Das Wafel had raised $27,035. Any extra breathing room will be appreciated in a tightly budgeted project, which will include the construction of a kitchen and renovation of an truck.
“It’s time to go to work,” said Christian Walters, owner of Das Wafel. “That’s my reaction. I’m incredibly grateful and humbled.”
