Kickstarter Game Developer Haiku Collection

September 2nd - via:
It’s a bit of a tradition that whenever I interview someone for Cliqist I ask them to put together a brief haiku to describe them, their company, or their game. Since we’re celebrating the one year anniversary of Cliqist this week I figure it would be as good a time as any to look back at some of them. All the haiku’s were written by the person being interviewed, and are listed in the order in which they appeared on the site. Some are great, some not so much, but each is interesting in its own right. (Read More)

Erica Holcomb Talks PeriAreion

March 24th - via:
PeriAreion, the max settlement strategy game we’ve looked at previously, recently hit its humble $3,000 Kickstarter funding goal. That’s no small feat considering the being created by a team of rookies straight out of school, and launched on almost the exact same day as a much larger planet settlement strategy game. I had an opportunity to ask Erica Holcomb, PeriAreion’s producer and leader designer, some questions about the game; including what makes her team qualified to make this project, the competition, and what exactly is the deal with the title. (Read More)

Hyper-realistic space sim PeriAreion counts down to funding on Kickstarter

March 12th - via:
Where most crowdfunded space sims focus on the adventuresome side of the final frontier, PeriAreion is worth bringing to your attention because it aims to be that rare beast, a scientifically accurate science fiction game. (Read More)

SimMars Meets The Martian in PeriAreion

March 11th - via:
I recently started reading The Martian by Andy Weir. It tells the story of an astronaut that gets stranded on Mars and has to do whatever he can to survive. So far it’s a pretty fascinating reading, especially the technical aspects of it. As I’ve been making my way through the book I keep wishing for a straight up Mars survival game. No tricks or off the wall story twists, no zombies or other players; just me versus a hostile environment. (Read More)
