If successful, the project will further develop the company’s upcoming open source HTML5 toolkit and help establish HTML5 as a viable alternative to native iOS and Android programming. In our adaption of the classic Emu Ranchers card game from the award-winning Decktet, you want to beat your rival rancher by raising the most profitable mob of emus. It’s a fun game of keeping your options open, taking risks, and seeing the same cards in a new light. Players compete head-to-head in building emu “pens” by arranging cards by color and number. Similar to starting a real business, each new group of cards represents a financial investment that must be recouped in order to earn points. Though simple to learn and play, the two-suited cards and back-and-forth gameplay allow for great depth of strategy for more advanced players while keeping the play fun and simple for casual gamers.
