Like adventures? If yes, then you will totally love this game. In this game, you need to get off the planet as someone tripped over the coolant cord and due to this the planet is now going to explode. Though out the game, “Get me off this planet” can be heard. The main objective of players is to be the first one to get their Aliens off the planet with the help of action cards, resource cards and phases of the moon to escape. If you failed to get everyone off the planet before it explodes, then the player who saved most Aliens will win the game. Kickstarter’s “Lift Off” is a fun to play, easy to learn and fast paced game, where every player feels engaged in the game until the planet explodes or someone wins. (Read More)

As kids, my brothers and I loved to play board games, and when we played they got rowdy. With five of us all told, whether we started fighting or not, it was always an interesting game. Granted, my oldest brother always made up new rules, so my second oldest brother was always the one consulting the rule book to shoot him down. Lift Off! is an space themed modular board game by Eduardo Baraf. Players work semi cooperatively order to get their aliens off the planet before it explodes. Players take turns placing their alien meeples on lift off points. Each lift off point costs resources to either lift off or get on (or sometimes both). It’s possible to lift off on your own, but often you’ll have other opponents aliens hop on, creating temporary alliances! We go into game design, running a good Kickstarter campaign, shoot down the rabbit hole of Kickstarter and your local game shop, hop back up and then go into great detail about Liftoff – and why it’s a game you’ll want to back. Liftoff has a few things going for it that set it apart from other worker placement (or worker evacuation) games. A set time for the game being my favorite – when the world explodes, the world explodes and that game is over.
