Arcade Mode Update Brings Three Ways To Play We Happy Few

March 26th - via:
As part of the original Kickstarter campaign for We Happy Few, developer Compulsion Games promised at least one new mode after backers met certain stretch goals. Four years after that original campaign and half a year after the game was fully released, the Canadian studio has over-delivered with not one, not two, but three new modes, all under the banner of "Arcade Mode". The first mode is Survival mode. This mode is similar to how the game was in Early Access/Game Preview, where the goal is to, well, survive. That means that players will have to hunt for food; water and shelter and use the right mixture of stealth, crafting and combat to persevere for as long as possible in Wellington Wells. The new scoring system will be based on survival time, but there will also be a way for players to escape the island. (Read More)

We Happy Few is a stealth game that requires you to be happy to stay alive

June 7th - via:
Being happy is great, except when you’re not allowed to be anything else. This is the conundrum that faces the player in We Happy Few, an in-development game on Kickstarter that looks like a pleasant (heh) departure from the usual stealth adventure. It’s rather the opposite of stealth, as you need to hide in plain sight. The campaign is already well on its way to the $250,000 goal in just a few days, and it looks quite interesting. (Read More)

Compulsion's We Happy Few Kickstarter is live

June 4th - via:
We Happy Few grabbed us with its announcement trailer, but it wasn't until PAX East this year that I got to run through an early build. I ended by jumping out of a high window and dying. Good times. (Read More)
