Piko Interactive's Kickstarter For JIM POWER Game Has Nearly Reached Its Funding Goal!

Piko Interactive has revived a number of classic titles over the last few years including giving the N64 version of Eurocom’s awesome title 40 Winks a proper physical release! Piko’s latest project involves the Jim Power franchise which was a fairly popular side-scrolling adventure title on the Amiga way back when. The title also saw release for the SNES and Turbografx CD back in the day but wasn’t nearly as popular. There was apparently a Genesis version in the works that had been completed but never released as well.

Anyways, Piko has been hosting a Kickstarter to get a new NES port of the game made (from programmer Shiru) along with finally getting the Genesis version to see the light of day. Reprints of the previously released versions on SNES, TGCD, and Amiga (with a bonus MS-DOS version included) are also planned and can be chosen as the version you would like to receive when you back the project.

As it stands now, the project is just $1000 from being funded with 9 days left to go before the Kickstarter closes. If you love retro games and would like to own an oft-overlooked game this might just be the Kickstarter for you. Not to mention that NES version looks legit, nice work Shiru and Piko on that! Be sure to check out the Kickstarter for further info on the project to revive Jim Power.

Did you play Jim Power back in the day?
