New indie project from Sunbreak Games, Buddy & Me, has met its Kickstarter target and has expressed continued interest in a Wii U version.
Buddy & Me is an adorable 2D platformer that invokes untainted childhood dreams and memories with by finding a young body running through a vibrant, colourful world with a mythical flying creature known as Buddy. The project met its $40,000 Kickstarter target with only hours to spare, but wasn't able to tap into it's stretch goal that includes commitment to a Wii U version.
However, despite this there is still hope for those wanting the concept to soar on over to the Nintendo side with an update to the project's FAQ:
Bottom line, it does cost a lot extra to port to Wii U, and we will need to find that funding somehow, somewhere, sometime. We can't in any way promise or guarantee it until we've figured out how to do it... but what we can promise, is that we'll try.Would you like to see the Buddy & Me concept land on Nintendo Wii U?You'll be happy to know, we've already reached out to Nintendo (Nintendo of America headquarters is just a few miles away from us), and are trying to figure out exactly what it would take to get development kits, and get more familiar with the technology.
