— Brick-and-mortar-less bagel venture Rosen's Bagel Co. is looking to raise funds for a forever-home by launching a Kickstarter campaign. The money would also be used for new menu items like pizza bagels, equipment upgrades, and new merchandise. The campaign launched on Wednesday, December 6, and has raised $7,744 so far of the $10,000 goal. Right now, Rosen’s Bagel Co. bakes up bagels within East Side coffee shop and beer bar Wright Bros. Brew & Brew as well as Govalle Japanese cafe Sa-Ten.

— As part of Cherrywood spot Hoover's Cooking’s new hours, the restaurant will no longer serve breakfast. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day though.

— Topping last month's alcohol sales in all of Texas was Circuit of the Americas. For Austin, that's followed by JW Marriott Hotel, Blind Pig Pub, and Chupacabra Cantina.

Cane Rosso is encouraging dog adoptions by decorating the restaurants’ Christmas trees with adoptable pups from Cane Rosso Rescue. People are encouraged to peruse the trees for adoptions or to give gifts and donations.

— A lot of people take rideshare cars via Lyft to get to Torchy’s Tacos in Austin, according to the Lyftie Awards, which highlights the most traveled-to destinations of the year. For bars, it’s Cheer Up Charlies.

— HUSA Management, the company that owns Sherlock's Baker Street Pub & Grill, which shut down its North Austin location as well as others in the state, filed for bankruptcy.

— Food + City announced the finalists for its challenge prize, which includes a grocery store food truck in Houston, a company that collects Austin restaurant leftovers to feed grubs for chickens, and others. The finalists will present their projects during a SXSW event in 2018.
