German company Headflat is seeking $100,000 via Kickstarter to fund its self-titled Smartphone mount that allows users to play games and more without holding a phone.
With a Headflat, Smartphones act as a TV screen, rather than a controller. The Headflat is worn on a visor that extends the phone out in front of the user, and games are played with a controller. You can watch the video above to see it in action. According to the video, the Headflat can be used for gaming, reading, watching movies, playing music and more.
The Kickstarter includes nine backer tiers, beginning at $5 and extending to $7,500. Those who donate $5 will receive a founder emblem next to their community username, while a donation of $49 will get backers a Headflat, Bluetooth controller and two Smartphone games. Donating to the project's top tier will yield a visit from the team, 10 headflats and a partnership opportunity.
Funding ends May 14. At the time of this posting, the Kickstarter campaign has raised $5,727 of its $100,000 goal with 91 backers.
