Since Beacon and Lively’s Kickstarter campaign launched last week, it’s garnered nearly $10,000 of its $120,000 goal. With 35 days still to go, the smart jewelry company’s founder, Dave Becker, said he feels confident the pledges will come in.

So far, he said, the Kickstarter website has drawn a substantial amount of traffic. With a public relations campaign launching this week, Becker is hoping to spread the word even more about his fashionable, wearable tech.

Beacon and Lively plans to use the $120,000 in funds to bring its products – which connect to smart phones via Bluetooth – to life better and faster. A B&L cuff, the company’s first smart bracelet, provides alerts to wearers with notification-specific colors, patterns and vibrations.

I wrote about Becker’s company as part of Philadelphia Business Journal’s elevator pitch series not too long ago. Read it here.
