There is a new campaign on Kickstarter that's making headlines, currently has almost 7,000 backers, and nearly has $250,000 pledged so far. The campaign, entitled "Embrace - The documentary that will create global change," was created by a woman by the name of Taryn Brumfitt who wishes to make a feature-length documentary that will "unite women across the globe to love their bodies."

With the funding, Brumfitt will travel around the world to "interview inspirational female leaders," including author Jade Beall, Alice Bracegirdle of Bellyfit International, and PhD sisters Lexi and Lindsay Kite from Beauty Redefined.

Brumfitt's Kickstarter has received support from notable celebrities including Ashton Kutcher, Rosie O'Donnell, Zooey Deschanel, Amanda de Cadenet, and Ricki Lake. In the video, Brumfitt asks the viewer if they will "embrace" the campaign to restore or un-"brainwash" girls who are told they should have body image issues and that who they are is unattractive.

Brumfitt wants to fight what she calls "excessive photoshopping, the sexualisation of women in the media and advertising campaigns that prey on women's insecurities," all of which serve to create a culture of loathing and body shaming across the world. Brumfitt is the Founder of Body Image Movement, which "teaches women the value and power of loving their body from the inside out." Taryn is teaming up with Hugh Fenton, owner and director of Enlightening Films to produce the documentary.

Taryn is a mother of three children and she lives in Adelaide, Australia. She wishes to share her story of how she learned to love her body after being taught, like many women are, to hate it. For those who believe in her project, there are a number of donation levels that one can contribute via Kickstarter, ranging from $1 (AUD) to $8000 or more, which will offers the donor to receive an Executive Producer credit and the honor of walking the red carpet and getting photos taken with the directors and producers.
