Kickstarter Game Developer Haiku Collection

September 2nd - via: cliqist.com
It’s a bit of a tradition that whenever I interview someone for Cliqist I ask them to put together a brief haiku to describe them, their company, or their game. Since we’re celebrating the one year anniversary of Cliqist this week I figure it would be as good a time as any to look back at some of them. All the haiku’s were written by the person being interviewed, and are listed in the order in which they appeared on the site. Some are great, some not so much, but each is interesting in its own right. (Read More)

Kickstarter SOS: Hot Rod Hustle

February 4th - via: slimgamer.com
If you grew up in the 80s, you probably played your fair share of DOS games. California Dreams published a little game back in 1989 called Street Rod, and it’s a title a lot of us remember very fondly. If you loved that old racing game, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a new Kickstarter project inspired by it and it goes by the name of Hot Rod Hustle. (Read More)

Tyler Thomas Talks Hot Rod Hustle

February 3rd - via: cliqist.com
Tyler Thomas wants you to experience some of the great car games of the past. We’re talking the Street Rod series and Motor City Online, games that all met with varying degrees of success at their prime. Tyler’s dream is to bring his creation, Hot Rod Hustle, to the masses. To have thousands of building, modifying, and racing their very own hot rods. To have everyone experience the rush of winning in a pinks race, and the humiliation of losing all that you hold dear. The only way that’s going to happen, though, is if he can raise the money he and his team need to complete the game the Hot Rod Hustle Kickstarter campaign. (Read More)

Hot Rod Hustle To The Starting Line

January 16th - via: cliqist.com
Do you remember Motor City Online? No? Don’t worry, most people don’t. It was a unique MMO from EA released in 2001 that discarded the usual mages and fighters you normally see online in favor of American muscle cars. Players could hoon around in their customized cars finding other people to race for prize money and bragging rights. The game was officially shut down in 2003, but not before it attracted a small but dedicated following. (Read More)
