Gettin Down Wit Yo Bad SoundSelf

March 24th - via: indiestatik.com
There’s a certain quality of hallucinogenic drugs that nearly every old hippie burnout has spun tales of since the induction of ‘old hippie burnout’ to the modern vernacular, one that tends to be difficult to describe because of its literal sense-flipping qualities: sound and vision switching. To be more precise, audial and visual receptors in the brain are tricked by floods of chemicals into interpreting sounds as colors, shapes and the occasional Native American spirit guide – and vice-versa. This is especially true if you eat cured peyote cactus when you’re bored one weekend or like watching the Bill Gates documentary with a side of psilocybin chocolates. It’s also a driving force behind the sale of The Three Amigos DVDs to 30-55-year-olds. Who doesn’t love a talking parrot from Bahia that will pull himself out of the TV and turn into a 500-foot-tall Jesus made of gold? Nobody, that’s who. (Read More)
