Jonathan Green has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the latest gamebook in his ACE Gamebooks series. Beowulf Beastslayer is a brand new take on the Anglo-Saxon epic, re-imagining the events described in the poem as an interactive gamebook. Will you follow the course of events as laid down by the scops and skalds of old, or will you choose a different path and forge your own legend? In Beowulf Beastslayer, you take on the role of the eponymous hero Beowulf himself in the greatest fantasy story of them all. Beowulf is an Old English story authored by an anonymous poet, in which Beowulf, a hero of the Geats (a tribe from southern Sweden), comes to the aid of Hrothgar, the King of the Danes, whose magnificent feasting hall has been under attack by a monstrous man-wolf shadow creature known as Grendel. (Read More)
