Octopus City Blues is funded, looks totally weird
September 1st - via: joystiq.com
Now that Ghost in a Bottle's Octopus City Blues has reached its funding goal of $7,000 on Kickstarter, we can focus on the game's non-linear, adventure-oriented premise. Protagonist Kaf Kafkaryan lives in a city built around a giant octopus and discovers a conspiracy theory as he tries to learn more about his surroundings in order to assist the individuals within his dreams. Sounds... mundane. (Read More)

Kickstarter Picks: Octopus City Blues, Death Road to Canada, and more!
August 30th - via: gamezebo.com
This week’s Kickstarter quintet gets two tentacles up for quirkiness. We’ve become enamored with an octopus city simulator; a zombie survival game with an abundance of “cool it” dialogue choices; and a crime-solving, fedora-wearing feline. To round things out, our final two games exist entirely in the imagination, but on completely different ends of the horror-to-cute spectrum. (Read More)

Kickstart This: Octopus City Blues
August 27th - via: indiestatik.com
The Octopus city simulation genre sounds like some sort of niche product, but it really is a burgeoning industry. Awash in tentacles, Octopus City Blues is leading the charge on this vaunted genre soon to explode ink or octoblood all over the world’s begging masses. Chris gave Ghost in a Bottle‘s newest game a couple pokes back in June, but since they recently launched their Kickstarter, and the game makes my eyes bleed happiness, it seemed like time to give it another look-see. (S)Quids In: Octopus City Blues Kickstarter
August 27th - via: rockpapershotgun.com
I love cities, and I moved to London to experience life as part of tapestry of the giant, throbbing organism of England’s capital. The city in this open-world 2D adventure game Octopus City Blues is an incredibly literal interpretation of the language people use to describe cities, with the surreal setting of this city’s foundations being a fricking octopus. A living, breathing, sucking city: its tentacles creeping through the streets, sliding in and out of every crack, the blood of the beast turning the people into drug addicts. Adam had a brief look at this last month, and promised a Kickstarter would emerge. It’s here, and I’ve just backed it. (Read More)
