Mashing Up the Old West

September 15th - via: bleedingcool.com
My name is Andres Salazar. I’m a storyteller. Right now I’m neck-deep in my new book called Pariah, Missouri. Part Huckleberry Finn part X-files it’s a mash-up of some of my favorite stories and ideas all set in Antebellum 1857 Missouri. It’s Steampunk without the punk, but a good dose of religion, folk magic, bounty-hunters, slaves and demons. It’s the A-team with Hiram Buchanan an undercover Pinkerton, Nellie a feisty courtesan, Jean Lafitte a practitioner of vodoo from New Orleans and Toro a Mexican/Comanche bounty-hunter as they ferret out evil. (Read More)

Scott Lobdell is a PARIAH! (Kickstarter Alert)

September 12th - via: comicvine.com

People don't know this, but years ago, when Rob Liefeld and I were just breaking in at the same time... we used to talk about creating a series called THE POSSE. The idea was, what would the very first American super hero team be like? Before the costumes and codenames and secret headquarters we all take for granted today..we'd get to see these characters figuring it all out for the first time. (Read More)

PARIAH MISSOURI OGN REVIEW – Ole’ Blood Spilt on Ole’ West

September 12th - via: robpatey.com
I only play the Kickstarter “make a wish” review game if a project meets three criteria: One, the would-be creators need to have a finished product. It can be one issue and most certainly digital, I’ll never shun a Kickstarter for trying to buy pulp. Two, you’re not running the Kickstarter to buy an artist. (Read More)
