Citizens Of Earth Points The Way To Kickstarter [VIDEO]

September 23rd - via: rockpapershotgun.com
People in the know – this case Mr Stanton – tell me that Eden Industries‘ (who previously made Waveform) light-hearted RPG Citizens Of Earth is looking rather promising indeed. But what it is? “It’s an RPG that places you in the shoes of the Vice President of the World! Citizens of Earth combines the modern setting and humorous tone of Earthbound with the recruitment mechanics of games like Pokemon and Suikoden.” And is it looking promising enough to raise $100k Canadian on Kickstarter? (That’s about £60k, Sterling fans!) That’s what the devs are hoping. (Read More)

Citizens of Earth gets Kickstarter campaign, channels Earthbound

September 21st - via: joystiq.com
Citizens of Earth's Kickstarter campaign began on Friday, and if you've grown tired of saving the world as a young amnesiac or destined warrior, you might want to check it out. The game will follow the Vice President of the World's quest to save the day through recruiting the efforts of everyday citizens in a humor-oriented RPG that's comparable to Earthbound. If you'd like an example, the Kickstarter pitch video shows the Barista, Baker and Conspiracy Guy battling a pair of phone-crowned deer in the woods called Telefawn. (Read More)

Hands-on with Citizens of Earth

September 20th - via: gamezebo.com
We’ve been waiting oh-so patiently for Citizens of Earth since our first peek at its colorful, cartoony 2D visuals back in January. While the wait is not quite over, its launch on Kickstarter this week and the inclusion of a playable alpha demo has sated some of that hunger and confirmed many of our hopes: namely, that this game is going to be good. And it’s going to be even better for fans of Earthbound. (Read More)

Why You Need Citizens of Earth in Your Life

April 5th - via: indiestatik.com
Suikoden II was, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the single greatest products of the JRPG genre to ever grace our unworthy hands. It had political intrigue, a functionally engaging RTS element, dudes with bat wings and somewhere around 115 characters you could hoard like collectible plates. There was only ever one problem (besides the fact that Konami is steadfastly refusing to re-release the damn thing in the states): figuring out your main party. (Read More)
