‘Garden of Hedon’ Launches First-Of-Its-Kind Kickstarter Campaign

April 29th - via: horrorbug.com
The filmmakers behind ‘Garden of Hedon’ have launched their crowd-sourcing campaign. Nothing sensational about that, hundreds of others do the same thing every week. Yet the campaign for ‘Garden of Hedon’ is different from what we normally see on sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo: Crowd-sourcing is traditionally used to fund the creation of a feature film before it actually goes into production. The guys at Kangas Kahn Films are doing it backwards while having their eyes solidly on the future. Doesn’t make sense? Come on in and it will. (Read More)

Garden of Hedon Trailer and Crowd Sourcing Announcement

April 26th - via: horrormovienews.net
We received word about Garden of Hedon launching their crowd-sourcing campaign. We also have a trailer from the film. Check it out below. The filmmakers behind “Garden of Hedon” launched an unprecedented crowd-sourcing campaign today. Crowd-sourcing is traditionally used to fund the creation of feature films, but the innovation of the GOH campaign is that the film is already complete, and if the funding goal is reached, the producers will release the film for free all over the internet via torrents, Youtube, Vimeo and more. (Read More)

“Garden Of Hedon” Campaign Gets Creative

The guys behind “Garden Of Hedon” have come up with an innovative way to sell their campaign pitch over at Kickstarter. Kevin Kangas will give the film away for free to the web wide world if they reach their goal. “Garden Of Hedon” has already been filmed and is complete, sadly waiting for distribution. This is a way around that dreaded long wait that almost kills directors spirits. The film is about a detective trapped in a supernatural house where women are being murdered. It stars Richard Cutting(“National Treasure 2”), Danielle Lozeau(“Legion”, “The Eye”), John C. Bailey(“The Men Who Built America”), Beau Peregino(“A Haunting”), Paul Sieber(“Ninjas Vs. Vampires”) and Manuel Poblete(“Game Change”). Check out the trailer below. (Read More)

You Can't Beat This Price on Hedonism

April 20th - via: horrortalk.com
If you haven't noticed, we don't do a lot of Kickstarter/Indiegogo pieces around here. It's not that we don't love the indie community (we do, just in case this is your first visit), it's that with sheer amount of projects out there, we would spend all day just posting them. Instead, we choose the projects that are special to us, and when Kevin Kangas announced the launching of his Garden of Hedon Kickstarter campaign, I knew this was one we had to get out to the fans. (Read More)
