How Game Developers Turn Kickstarter Failure Into Success

August 21st - via: news.dice.com
When you ask random strangers on the Internet to give you money, there are no guarantees. That’s true in almost any scenario, including when video game developers use Kickstarter to crowdfund the creation of a game. While 3,900 or so games have been funded on Kickstarter, more than 7,200 game projects failed to hit their goal. (Read More)

Folks! I'll keep this one brief. There are only three things you need to know: First, this is the last day of the Telepath Tactics Kickstarter campaign. This one's for all the marbles! Second, we smashed through our fourth stretch goal last night;... (Read More)

Back to Back: indie RPGs to fund

April 15th - via: indierpgs.com
There’s been a bit of a lull in people emailing me about their RPGs this past week, which can only mean one thing: it’s time for another Back to Back! Every single game that was on last list remains available to fund, though most are approaching the end of their campaigns. Here’s the update, with some new titles added in: (Read More)

PAX East Impression - Telepath Tactics

March 27th - via: rpgamer.com
There were all types of exhibitors on the show floor of this year's PAX East, but my favourite were probably the indie developers. They didn't have the largest of booths or loudest of sound systems, but these self made presenters had the blood, sweat, and tears to create a their own unique brand of content. One of those indie all-stars was Craig Stern, creator of Telepath Tactics. Michael A. Cunningham recently had the opportunity to interview Craig about his upcoming strategic RPG, but myself and Q&A Columnist Michael Apps were lucky enough to have our own hands-on preview. The demo won us over pretty quickly, and you'll be in the same boat if you’re at all a fan of Shining Force, Fire Emblem, or Disgaea. (Read More)

Striding confidently toward dungeons

March 26th - via: kickstarter.com
Hey guys! I'm back from PAX East, where I spent three days straight getting interviewed by various journalists, grabbing random passersby to play the alpha demo, and handing out roughly 700* business cards (*that's an actual estimate, not hyperbole).... (Read More)

User-made content in an SRPG?! Hands-on Telepath Tactics

March 25th - via: destructoid.com
I always told myself that if I knew how to make videogames, I'd make a strategy RPG in the vein of Fire Emblem or Shining Force. I grew up playing games like those and always love to see more lik... (Read More)
