With the closure of The Grill on Broadway and The Bus Stop, there is a void in our community that can not be replaced. However, as a community, otherwise known as Capitol Hill, we can look forward to bright new beginnings and new adventures. Right now the Kickstarter project of the year that should be on your radar for you to donate any level of monetary funds to is “The Pocket Theater” project. The idea of “The Pocket Theater” is to provide a space for artists to produce their new works for free. New Queer on the Block Magazine proudly supports this project and as of today they have exceeded their fundraising goal of $8,000 and is sitting at $14,492, but they don’t want to stop there because their ultimate fundraising goal in a perfect world is $50,000.
