"New" website up and running

March 29th - via: kickstarter.com
Hi everyone, Well, the "new" functional website is up and running. This is NOT the "world's greatest website" by any means. What I wanted was something that I could easily maintain and update moving forward. Later, when we move closer to Alpha state... (Read More)

Kickstarter Katchup

March 24th - via: rockpapershotgun.com
A few winners, a few losers and a heap of new entries. It’s a busy week and there are quite a few projects that people have contacted me about that aren’t included, even though I’m interested in them. I’ll do some individual posts on those over the next couple of days but, for now, feast your eyes on the contents of the Katchup at the breadth of gaming delights that it contains. Then feel a bit morose that Rogue System probably isn’t going to be on your computer for a long time. (Read More)

Thanks, Everyone...

Hi all, Well, there's about 3 hours to go, and although we had a great day yesterday and today it of course wasn't enough. The goal wasn't reached; but there's some numbers that I'd like to share that make me very happy--all of which due to the... (Read More)

Hi everyone, This is a post I just made over at reddit in Games (feel free to quote me if you decide to make any last effort posts at your local forums of choice): "Many people have asked me, "What's the point of a "hardcore" space-sim if you're not... (Read More)

Hi everyone, Again, a few new Backers recently joined us; so as always thanks to them for adding their support! Well, we're almost down to 72 hours remaining, and at this point it's "small miracle" time if this is to happen. :) Numerically there is... (Read More)

Hi everyone, I'd like to take a moment to welcome John Stewart to the Rogue System team. Now, how can I have a team without funding, you might ask? While I would prefer to compensate properly, John came to me and graciously offered a portion of his... (Read More)

Hi everyone, As always, welcome and "thank you" to our latest Backers. Thank you so much for your support! I just posted the new "Planetary Tour" video. It's nothing too fancy, just some fly-by's and long shots of planets and their moon systems. The... (Read More)

Kickstarter Katchup – 3rd March 2013

March 3rd - via: rockpapershotgun.com
There haven’t been any ‘losers’ in the Katchup for a while, partly because projects that are moving very slowly tend to be removed before they run out of time, and partly because there haven’t been quite as many small projects to cover. The list of ‘players’ is increasing rapidly though and even though the first comment will undoubtedly be from somebody reminded me of a game that I’ve missed, there are plenty of things to see. However, the influx of new entrants is balanced somewhat by this week’s losers. One is a small, surreal project, the other is a grander and more direct proposition. The creators of both have vowed to continue their work in some form. (Read More)

Sim Speak: Space Combat Goes Hardcore

February 19th - via: pc.gamespy.com
The splashiest of the recently announced crowdfunded space shooters are Chris Roberts' Star Citizen and David Braben's Elite Dangerous, but the one that really caught my attention is a small indie project from an ambitious USAF veteran with 14 years of game-development experience (who only just taught himself how to code in C++ four years ago). You might even call Michael "Scott" Juliano's Rogue System space combat sim "Falcon 4.0 in space," because that's the level of realism and system fidelity he's striving for. Here's the Rogue System Kickstarter page for those of you who are already sold. (Read More)

Rogue System Q&A: Bringing Hard Core Simulation Back to Space

January 29th - via: spacegamejunkie.com
A little while back, a gentleman named Michael Juliano posted on our forums talking about a new game he was making called Rogue System, which aimed to be a more serious, hard core sim rather than the more arcade-like entries in the genre (not that there’s anything wrong with having arcade-like games of course, but there’s plenty of room for both). (Read More)
