Liege gets the nod from Sony, PS4 and Vita stretch goal added

Beautiful hand-drawn tactical RPG Liege could release on PlayStation 4 and Vita.

Sony's unwavering indie champion Shahid Ahmad was instrumental in getting the RPG approved for potential PlayStation 4 and Vita release, which will be possible if the project brings in $52,000 in funding. This goal will also enable a Linux release.

In a Kickstarter update, developer John Rhee said releasing Liege on a PlayStation platform would be a homecoming of sorts.

"The games I played on Playstation consoles, including classics like FF Tactics, FFVII, Suikoden, and many more, had a huge influence on the vision for Liege, so the thought of getting onto [Sony's] platform is pretty unreal," he said.

As the project has attracted over $31,000 - well over its $15,000 goal - and has 12 days remaining, it seems quite possible it will make it. If it does, Coda Games will offer backers in various tiers the chance to choose which version they'd like to receive.

Liege's guaranteed release platforms are Mac and PC.
