Liege gets first gorgeous gameplay as Kickstarter passes initial goal

Coda Games has released some early footage of story-driven, tactical RPG Liege, which is doing quite well on Kickstarter.

Coda Games, which is the business name of independent developer John Rhee, asked for $15,000 and won that within four days of launching its Kickstarter campaign.

The game's most obvious calling card is its incredible hand-drawn graphics, which lend a charming classic fantasy feel to its tale of a nation in chaos after the death of its king.

See it in action below; down past that you'll find the announcement trailer, and you can see some screens and concept art, as well as gameplay explanations, on the game's website. If you like what you see, check out the rewards on offer through the Kickstarter, and maybe give it a nod on Steam Greenlight.

Liege is expected on Android, iDevice, Mac and PC in July 2014.
