Tactical RPG 'Radix Chronicle' getting Linux support

By - | Views: 12,471

Radix Chronicle is an in-development tactical RPG from Marcus Sanders, better known as EpicNameBro for making videos about Fromsoft games and their own game will now support Linux.

Inspired by classics on SNES and early PlayStation classics, Radix Chronicle will bring with it some dark themes and bright characters with a fantasy setting that changes depending on how you fight. One bit that makes it interesting is that there's no RNG for the fights, no 99% hit chances that miss. Instead, every action has a timing trial you need to hit a bit like a rhythm game almost. The resolution is a bit cramped though, as it was originally designed for Android but they said it grew to the point of wanting to do a PC release.

It's currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter and seems popular, as it still has 24 days to go and has nearly $40K pledged against the $33K goal so clearly gamers are interested.

Originally they said Linux support would be "probable" but in recent public update they said:

It was a very busy and very successful day, but we're not resting yet. First of all: we're going to officially offer Linux as a platform choice on Kickstarter now! This includes anyone who already backed it at a tier that features the game. Later in development, we will send out backer surveys (to you as an individual) about preferred platform and then use that to determine which version you get.

You can help fund it on Kickstarter and follow it on Steam.
