After lockdown delays, Wyvern Gaming’s official Stargate SG-1 Roleplaying Game powered by D&D 5’s ruleset is up on Kickstarter. Funded already.
In the game, characters are part of the Phoenix Site. Phoenix is an off-world location with a stargate. PCs can be human, one of the established alien races or a new and approved race. Wyvern asked for $33,400 to fund the project and a few hours after launch already has that pledged. You can follow progress on the Kickstarter page.
A PDF version of the Stargate SG-1 RPG only costs $10. That’s very impressive and already has over 100 backers.
If you want a physical copy, then you need to step up to $50. At the time of writing, those two options are tied neck for neck in popularity.
The PDF will be delivered in just a few months; in January 2021, if everything goes to plan. The physical book, though, comes in April.
Want your name in the book? Step up to $60. Nearly as many people have gone for this option.
There’s one final pledge tier, and it’s limited. Only 2,500 people can join Stargate Command and get the Leather-bound edition. How much does that claim to fame cost? $90! At the time of writing, this is the most popular option.
That special edition has a black cover with a white Stargate on it. The standard edition has the heavily trailed image of an SG team walking into the Stargate.
