There is a new Kickstarter campaign for Nemesis as the standalone expansion Nemesis Lockdown launches from Awaken Realms. The successful game developer is back on the crowdfunding platform with a return to one of the most popular sci-fi board games in recent memory.

And it’s already surpassed $2 million in funding.

Nemesis Lockdown is an expansion that builds on the atmospheric experience Nemesis established in 2018. If you’ve been waiting to broaden the scope of your gameplay, then this is it.

Become an unlikely survivor, locked in an underground base with something terrifying. Turn up your paranoia, as you try to guess what other players are up to, or what the contingency plan is. Work to learn the weaknesses of your nemesis – or run like hell. Switch off the lights in someone’s lab section. Take a dangerous trek to the outside bunker. And whatever you do, be ready for unexpected!

What’s even better than a standalone expansion?

Access to the base game and its existing content as well! Yes, you can jump in on the campaign and grab a copy of Nemesis and two of its expansions. These reprints will be available in February 2021, about six months before the new content ships to backers.

For a fantastic game that is difficult to find on the shelf anymore at your local friendly game store, this is wonderful news.
