Here at Pocket Gamer Towers, we've always got our eyes peeled for interesting-looking mobile games that may be worth your hard-earned cash.

Atomhawk Design's The Realm might just be another one.

According to the game's newly published Kickstarter page, The Realm is an "imaginative reinvention" of the point-and-click adventure genre.

So, The Realm chronicles the story of a headstrong young girl called Sarina, who lives on a near-future world that's been reclaimed by nature.

When her mother falls sick, Sarina must travel to a forgotten city controlled by mysterious plant-like creatures in search of a cure for the strange illness.

In The Realm, then, you assume control of Sarina and her friend Toru.

Sarina is fast and agile, but vulnerable to many environmental hazards and enemies. Toru, on the other hand, is incredibly slow, but is also incredibly powerful and impervious to many dangers.

You must utilise each character's unique and varied abilities to solve puzzles, avoid deadly traps, and stay one step ahead of the evil that lurks in your world's shadows.

Atomhawk Design needs £175,000 from the Kickstarter community to launch The Realm on PC and Mac, and a further £125,000 to create iPad and Android versions of the game.

Members of the Atomhawk Design team have worked on multiple big-name games in the past, including Dead Island, Killzone 3, Mass Effect, and the recently released Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Basically, we have high hopes for this game. If you do, too, head on over to the game's Kickstarter page and put your hand in your pocket.
