Even after four years since its release, Bloodborne continues to be a game that has built up a massive fan base in this generation of games, and now the upcoming board game adaptation of the FromSoftware title will begin its crowdfunding campaign later this month.Publisher CMON Games has announced that the Kickstarter campaign for Bloodborne: The Board Game will officially launch on April 23, 2019 at 3pm ET, allowing users to contribute towards the project's funding goal (which is unknown at this time).Previous details for Bloodborne: The Board Game have revealed that the game will be "a campaign-based action-adventure" game where up to four players will take on the role of Hunters and uncover the various secrets and take on the threats that await in the city of Yharnam. The game itself will feature a number of miniatures and figures based on characters and enemies from the game, along with giving players the chance to use various Trick Weapons and powers to overcome their opponents. The combat of the game will be driven by a deck-building system where "luck has little place," as instead Bloodborne: The Board Game will deliver consequences to players based on their decisions and how they approach specific situations. While previously a card game adaptation of Bloodborne was released from one of the same designers of this tabletop game a few years ago, the board game iteration looks to be taking things a step further by delivering more challenging combat and expanding on the world and lore of Bloodborne that fans have come to know and love over the years.
