Today Intrepid Studios released a new trailer of its upcoming MMORPG Ashes of Creation.

The trailer showcases some absolutely fantastic environments part of a pre-alpha version of the game that will be playable for attendees at PAX West in September.

Ashes of Creation is an open world MMORPG with a player-driven environment in which settlements can be controlled and built by the player base itself. Dynamic events provide threats to the status quo, and players can even take control of attacking monsters if they so wish. The game certainly includes a lot of potentially innovative ideas.

Intrepid's title was funded by a campaign on Kickstarter, that gathered an impressive $3,271,809 pledged by 19,576 backers. The campaign was launched with a solid prototype ready to show, demonstrating that going into Kickstarter with something tangible to entice potential backers goes a long way to be successful. The team at Intrepid asked only fora $750,000 goal, but more than quadrupled it, unlocking every single stretch goal set before and during the campaign itself.

You can check out the trailer below, and if you want to see more, you can watch another trailer with the same focus, an impressive gameplay video showing different seasons, a trailer showcasing the freehold settlements and more gameplay giving a look on playable monsters.

Ashes of Creation has an estimated release on PC in December 2018.
