Yooka-Laylee Devs Have Given Us A Rap Song

yooka_laylee.0.0

As part of their stretch goals on their Kickstarter campaign for Yooka-Laylee, the team at Playtonic has gifted us with a Yooka-Laylee rap. Several of the devs at Playtonic have backgrounds at Rare, where they included a Donkey Kong rap as part of Donkey Kong 64. This is just a continuation of an old tradition, but it is pretty cute.

Gaming rap videos are something that never quite took off, but were still commonplace in the late 90s, but are now practically unheard of. Sure, the rapping itself has always been terrible, but that isn't the charm of these videos. No one liked the DK Rap because it was good.

You can check it out below and let us know what you think.
