Barkily Gets Featured In Top Spot On Huffington Post List Of Interesting Kickstarter Campaigns

Dog app Barkily has been featured in the top spot of interesting Kickstarter campaigns on the Huffington Post website. The team at Barkily says they are honored the startup has garnered attention from a prestigious publication and hope it will raise awareness of the campaign

SAN DIEGO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 20, 2016 / Barkily, an app that helps dog owners organize and manage the many aspects of responsible dog ownership, has been featured in the top spot on a list of interesting Kickstarter campaigns on the Huffington Post website.

Matt Janaway, CEO of Marketing Labs and a regular Huffington Post contributor, recently unveiled five Kickstarter campaigns that caught his interest as an entrepreneur, putting Barkily as his No. 1 choice.

Janaway praised Barkily's features, saying it will help dog parents with the many tasks that come with owning a canine, especially for people who have multiple animals.

"Being a dog parent is not easy, especially if you have more than one pooch,” the Huffington Post contributor wrote. “Each dog needs a lot of TLC and regular walks, food and even trips to dog parks/dog beaches. You'll need to take them for grooming and keep a check on their health at regular intervals. This and other activities related to your pet pooch take up a lot of your time, most of which can be spent locating the best dog care services and then scheduling the visits.

This is where you need "Barkily – an app by dog lovers, for dog lovers."

Barkily co-founder Serhat Pala says he's appreciative of the coverage from a highly regarded publication like the Huffington Post.

"We were pleasantly surprised to be featured in the Huffington Post considering that we just launched on Kickstarter last week," Pala said. "But, since we're offering something totally unique for dog owners, maybe it's not that surprising. We're hoping this will give us the exposure we need to help us reach our relatively low goal of $20,000. If we can get the word out to enough passionate dog lovers and dog enthusiasts, we’re confident we can reach our goal and the support shown by Mr. Janaway by highlighting our Kickstarter project as one of interest is greatly appreciated."

The Barkily Kickstarter campaign was launched to raise money for the app, which is meant to act as a "doggie day planner" to help dog owners take better care of their pets. The app will allow dog owners to easily find dog service providers and schedule appointments with them and share their dog's health information with them, eliminating the need to fill out multiple forms when sharing their dogs' information.

Barkily will also provide users with a special dog tag that contains a QR code holding their dog's information. They can customize which portion of the information can be viewed by certain individuals, making some public and some only viewable by their veterinarian and other portions viewable to their groomer or other service providers.

The app also serves a purpose for small businesses that offer dog related products and services, as it will enable them to accept bookings through the app.
