Kickstarter Moviemakers Talk About Their Epic Teen Zombie Movie on ‘Conan’

On Conan, actor-writers Sam Suchmann and Mattie Zufelt came by to chat about their new movie, Spring Break Zombie Massacre. The film has a cool story behind it: Suchmann and Zufelt are two best friends who wanted to make the “most epic teen zombie movie” ever. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, they got funding and made their film in Rhode Island.

The Kickstarter campaign and movie have brought the two a lot of attention. Fortunately, they’re loving the limelight. “Most people get annoyed by the paparazzi, but you like the paparazzi,” host Conan O’Brien noted. Zufelt said he and Suchmann are getting more attention than Channing Tatum, and he seemed to enjoy that.

“Did you like flying first class? What was your favorite part, Sam, about flying first class?” O’Brien asked. “My favorite part was the breakfast,” Suchmann replied. “I had French toast and sausage.” “And Mattie, what did you like about first class?” O’Brien asked, turning to Zufelt. “I got breakfast,” he said to laughter.

At the end of their chat, one of Mattie and Sam’s demands for coming on the show was met — a chocolate fountain. “Oh my f****** god,” said a gleeful Suchmann.
