The folks at Pied Piper began their Indiegogo project for Skip Beat at the beginning of March and over the first half of its run they were pledged some $20,000 or so with about 200 backers. THat was out of the $200,000 they were looking for to bring over this project, which you can find out more about here when we talked about it at the beginning of the month. But, as has been discussed, a lot of people simply do not use Indiegogo and the nature of that crowdfunding site has kept the project languishing for much of this time, which is a shame as it really is worth getting out there as nobody else is willing to pick it up.
Thankfully, Pied Piper has now begun to run this project on Kickstarter as well as that has gone live this afternoon. With the project extended through mid-April now, there’s 29 days to go to raise $155,000 as they’ve shifted the Blu-ray release to its own tier in hopes of getting the project funded in general first and then making a hard push to hit that level. The basic tier to get the DVD project is $60 and it comes with lots of good stuff.
