Developed by a team of middle schoolers who call themselves the “Team Who Must Not Be Named,” Interfectorem is a murder mystery tale. It all begins when Alis, an upcoming sheriff, simply goes out for the day while her sister stays home. Once Alis returns home she discovers that her sister was brutally murdered. Shocked and angered, she knows she must not rest until she finds the murderer and is able to stop their killing spree.“

Game : Gayway
What it is : Marcus wrote: “The story of Gayway begins with Frank, a young man who is resentful of his father for not accepting him for being gay. However, one day his father dies. Although word is that it was a suicide, Frank knows that something suspicious going on. As such, he rounds up a few of his friends and heads into Strongtown in order to find his father’s killer. Unfortunately, the town is incredibly unfriendly to strangers — but that’s hardly going to deter this crew from finding the truth. Gameplay itself takes the form of a classic point and click adventure.“

Game : XO
What it is : Serena wrote: “You’re in command of the sole surviving ship in the fleet. You’re being pursued by relentless aliens bent on harvesting your species. It’s up to you to survive the onslaught and recruit a ragtag group of allies to take the fight to them. If this sounds like an episode of Battlestar Gallactica, then you’re not far off. XO, a strategy game that has you outsmarting and outrunning the enemy, is heavily inspired by this show. It also takes cues from some more recent games like FTL.“

Game : Nova Blitz
What it is : Marcus wrote: “Nova Blitz is an upcoming trading card game by Dragon Foundry and you may have heard of it before. If so, it’s likely because of the previous Kickstarter campaign that was run for the title in February to the tune of $80,000. In the end, they raised only around $13k before canceling their campaign. Finally, Nova Blitz is back with a redesigned pitch and an existing community. So far, they’ve already raised $10,000, and look poised to succeed at their lowered $40,000 goal easily. Why? Well, here’s the basics of the game.“

Game : Order of Ancients
What it is : Marcus wrote: “The MOBA scene is absolutely massive, and only growing larger by the day thanks to behemoth properties such as Dota 2 and League of Legends. As such, it only makes sense that we’ve seen a variety of takes on the genre hit Kickstarter. The latest of these is Order of Ancients, a game inspired by Footmen Frenzy for Warcraft 3. Now, I’ve never played that title before, but if you were a fan of that then it looks like you’ll be wanting to back this title by Inkhorn Games.“

Game : Soul Keepers
What it is : Marcus wrote: “You know, one thing that always is a bit disappointing is checking out a new campaign and seeing that the developer has only backed one or two Kickstarter projects prior to launching their own. Hey, nothing wrong with that, but it’s pretty common. I couldn’t help but notice that the opposite is the case with Blue Moth Studio and their 40 campaign backer status! Okay, but enough about that, what’s the game they’ve brought to the crowdfunding audience today? Soul Keepers. This game tells the story of a woman named Tanaka who has just died — but is still “living” in some sense. She has entered a new realm and must discover its secrets.“

Game : Order of Ataxia
What it is : Marcus wrote: “Just about a year after their previously successful visual novel Kickstarter, Rising Angels: Fates, IDHAS Studios have returned with another game by the name of Order of Ataxia: Initial Effects. Although their previous title isn’t out yet, the developers have been keen on keeping backers updated on a weekly basis. But, enough about their other title as we’re here to chat about their latest game! Order of Ataxia: Initial Effects is a fantasy tale centered around a genius scientist named Charles and the results of his discoveries. You see, he somehow managed to discover a way to travel between planes of existence — and the gods are not pleased with this.“

Game : The Wizards of Trinity Bellwoods
What it is : Marcus wrote: “How would you like to play a game about gentrification? It’s a pretty interesting concept to see committed to game format. The Wizards of Trinity Bellwoods sets itself in a digital representation of the real Trinity Bellwoods park in Toronto, Canada. Apparently, there’s a whole subculture of hipsters coming to the park to drink and litter their beer cans around. Luckily, or as a result of this incredible disregard for recycling, can collectors also inhabit the park in order to grab the discarded cans and sell them. In the game, you play as a can collector (or “wizard”).“

Game : Tsioque
What it is : Serena wrote: “At its most basic, Tsioque is a story about good versus evil. Well, sort of. The good queen has gone off to take on a phoenix, leaving her daughter alone in the castle with the power hungry court sorcerer. Who did what any self respecting megalomaniac would do. He takes over the castle, literally twisting it into his own vision and summons imps and other beasts to take care of things while he plots. And subsequently has them throw the titular princess into the dungeon.“

Game : Satellite Rush :
What it is : Marcus wrote: “Smash TV is absolutely one of my favorite classic games out there, and so anything that in any way gains inspiration from that gets onto my radar. Satellite Rush is one such game that takes classic twin-stick shooter gameplay and similar themes to create its own brand new roguelike. It begins when an everyday earthling is kidnapped by aliens and forced to take part in an intergalactic gameshow. There, the man now known as “Egomonkey,” must battle against hordes of aliens in the vast, multi-roomed Satellite Moebius arena. As you might expect, this totally untrained, unheroic protagonist is going to die a lot.“

The Rest of the Campaigns :
Archetype : Another campaign from the guy who launched the Fire Isle campaign, which also had no footage or screens.
Age of Chibi : A browser based visual novel RPG with nothing to show yet.
Strike Line – Space Battle : A $50,000 shooter with nothing to show.
Calm Waters : A late 90’s looking point-and-click adventure.
You Are a Dark God: Desolation Road : A visual novel from the developer that tried to fund You Are A God To One Person earlier this year.
Project Freelancer : A blocky survival shooter with nothing to show. At least the funding goal is low.
The Unwritten Story : An RPG with nothing to show.
Ring of Worlds : Another game with nothing to show while asking for $50,000, but there are campaign updates!
Phantom Knight : A platformer from a developer that’s had 6 other campaigns. Looks like this one will hit its funding goal though.
Tree Mongers : I always get extremely uncomfortable when developers use their kids to help pitch their games.
Tower 100 :Another RPG Maker game, this time with a $150 funding goal.
Zoby Z² : A lovely looking shooter worth a closer look. A quick aside for developers though. Don’t spend the first 30 seconds of your funding video goofing around in the menus of your game.
Miami Beach Dreaming : Some add-on content for Furcadia.
Space trip : More menu action, and a model of planet Earth that looks like an egg.
Signi: Game of Factions : An Action Strategy Online Shooter for only $600 US.
The Gourd of the Beans : An 80’s style adventure game with a funding goal that’s out of step with what the developers are trying to achieve.
Dark Forester : A solid looking strategy game with a ton of content to take in before deciding whether or not to back.
Windgale Chronicles : Not saying a game has to be super polished before asking for money, but the frame rate in this RPG’s funding video is really distracting.
Kill Bugs Dead : A really promising shooter with some great artwork.
Nyx: The Haijun Chameleon : A side scroller with just some rough character concept art to show.
Project: Gorgon : An open world MMO that has a lot to show off in it’s funding video.
JIN – Solomons Key : A horror game that doesn’t show off enough to justify asking for over $120k.
Redshift : An Armada style space shooter with RPG elements.
Floof : Don’t let the cover image throw you off, this platformer could be something very cool.
