The people have been heard.
With the 'Shenmue 3' Kickstarter a little more than halfway done, the developers have announced a much-requested backer reward, a physical copy for PS4 players.
When donors offer $60 or more to the crowdfunding campaign, they'll now have four options for how they want to receive their copy of the game: PC digital version, PC physical version, PS4 digital version, and the new PS4 physical version. Donors who have already chipped in their $60 don't need to worry, either. Backers will be able to fill out a survey once the Kickstarter ends and select how they want to receive their complimentary copy of the game.
The 'Shenmue 3' Kickstarter launched during Sony's E3 event and quickly reached its $2 million goal. With a little less than two weeks left in the campaign, the game has received upwards of $4.3 million of support from fans, well within range of creator Yu Suzuki's $5 million stretch goal, though perhaps not quite within range of the $10 million goal that would have, Suzuki said, allowed for a true open world experience.
