The Shovel Knight Kickstarter did amazingly well for itself back in 2013. With a goal of $75,000 they ended up raising $311,502 instead thanks to nearly 15,000 backers. Yacht Club Games’ title has continued to do quite well since it launched, netting more than 700,000 sales!

How do you celebrate such a massive indie game success? Simple, you create a physical release so people can actually “own” a tangible version of it! Shovel Knight is coming to retail both in North America and Europe on October 13 and October 16 respectively. You’ll be able to snap up a copy for PS4, Xbox One, or Wii U, while Europe also gets access to a PC release.

Shovel Knight will be available at a fairly cheap (when compared to other retail games) price of $19.99. My suggestion is to pre-order a copy when you can because the print run probably won’t be large enough to meet demand. Orders will be available on Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Wal-Mart.
