unrest1Unrest, a gorgeous RPG taking place in Ancient India, generated 12 times its original funding goal, closing their campaign on June 31st, 2013 with $36,251 in hand with plans to make an expansive and unique traditional RPG. Tons of side quests lie in the gigantic city of Bhimra in addition to 6 main storyline quests, as well as a codex of information to discover and complete. Backers already know, but the demo of Unrest was released on the 16th, and anyone with Steam can give it a whirl. It’s just a demo, and a beta-like demo at that, but vocal backers and staff alike are working to hone the experience so that the final product can have as high a level of polish as possible.

unrest2Speaking of the final product, we have a release date for the full version of the game! It’s going to be about a month, but the full, final product will be released on July 23rd on PC, Mac, and Linux to be distributed via Steam. Like I said, the final product will be a highly expanded version of what we saw in the Kickstarter campaign because of how many stretch goals were reached. This includes a ton of extra areas, quest lines, and audio and visual enhancements, so definitely be looking forward to that full release. However, if you just can’t stand the wait, you can go play the free demo on Steam right now if you have a Windows PC, Mac, or Linux-based system.
