The UK trailer for the Veronica Mars movie has just been released.
Based on the cult TV show of the same name, Veronica Mars will be released digitally and in UK cinemas on 14th March 2014. Fans clubbed together to help fund the movie after writer and director Rob Thomas set up a Kickstarter campaignm with the help of series star Kristen Bell.
Asking for $2 million, Thomas reached his goal in just 10 hours and eventually raised $5.7 million to make the film. Veronica Mars is the number one funded project in the film category and the third highest funded project in Kickstarter histroy.
In the new movie Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell) has put Neptune and her amateur sleuthing days behind her on the eve of graduating law school. While interviewing at high-end law firms, Veronica gets a call from her ex-boyfriend Logan (Jason Dohring) who has been accused of murder. Veronica heads back to Neptune just to help Logan find an attorney, but when things don’t seem right with how Logan’s case is perceived and handled, Veronica finds herself being pulled back into a life she thought she had left behind.
Veronica Mars also stars Chris Lowell, Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorina, Francis Capra, Ken Marino and Enrico Colantoni.
