PROVO, UT -- A new garage storage products company looking to launch myLifter for garage ceiling storage easily surpassed its Kickstarter, a crowdfunding site, pledge goal of $50,000.

The prototype iOS smartphone-controlled, bluetooth-enabled winch mounts to the ceiling of a user’s garage and can hoist items weighing up to 50 lbs. It’s also programmable, so a user can set several points where items will lift and drop.

"myLifter was developed to solve the problem of making hard to reach space available for convenient storage," says Kevin Reese, myLifter firmware developer. "It makes it very intuitive to store bikes and other objects that can be lowered down with the push of a button."

Lightweight in size, each myLifter unit is 3" by 4.5" by 4.5" and weights approximately 2 lbs. Other features will include a built-in cable management system for the hardware's 25 ft of stainless steel cable and safety aspects including an internal brake system.

With nine days left in the fund-raising drive nearly $95,000 has been pledged. After reaching the initial goal a stretch goal of $100,000 was added to make the myLifter app operational on Android phones.

According to the company, each myLIFTER unit will come with the lifter, mounting bracket, mounting hardware, lifting hardware, power supply, power supply mount, and a 15-foot electrical extension cable.
