Survival Of The Fittest: Bearzerkers On Kickstarter

June 16th - via: rockpapershotgun.com
There’s an old joke about two prospectors, sometimes campers, or laywers, businessmen, doctors, anyway you can say whichever profession you dislike, but they’re in the woods and one of them starts putting their sneakers on so the punchline is, “I don’t need to outrun the bear, I only need to outrun you.” Oh yes, there’s a bear too, or sometimes a tiger. Great joke. (Read More)

Paxpocalypse 2013 selection Pandamonium hits Kickstarter as Bearzerker

June 6th - via: warpzoned.com
We’ve had so many great games in our PAXpocalypse lists, and it’s always exciting when the indie ones go to Kickstarter. Pandamonium, which we played at PAX Prime 2013 and fell in love with, is now on Kickstarter as Bearzerkers – and it’s looking better than ever! The great team at Australian-based Wildgrass has been hard at work on the game. They’ve also launched a Greenlight campaign. There are so many ways you can help them succeed! They’re developing it for Windows, Mac, and Linux – but that’s just so far. Who knows what the future holds! (Read More)

Kickstarter Weekly vol. 30

June 4th - via: indiehaven.com
Beyond being a candidate for the Best Game Name award of 2014, BEARZERKERS is a hilarious looking local multiplayer game. It’s based on a game jam concept which was called Pandamonium which you can check out here, and is being developed into a full game. You and your friends are cast not necessarily as bears, but as tiny little critters like armadillos, hedgehogs or badgers. There is a rampaging bear on the loose and your goal is to outlast your friends, using a number of powerups and dirty tricks to save your hide and trap your friends with the ursine menace. (Read More)
