As someone who was, at one point, limited to playing games exclusively on an iPod Touch, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that touchscreen controls don’t always work as well as we’d like them to, especially for things like platformers. The problem is that a D-pad doesn’t translate well if you can’t actually feel it under your thumb, so Super Adventure Mega Quest, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, gets rid of the D-pad entirely to bring you what the developers call “perfect platforming touch controls”. (Read More)
