Berlin-based Simon Schuetz has created the Bucketlistmap with a fairly ambitious vow to to make maps awesome again. Essentially, it’s a range of colorful illustrated maps that feature the best sights, smells, sounds, eats and to-dos — such as base jumping into the world’s deepest cave — sorted by adventure themes such as surf trips, snow trips and football. (Read More)

Simon Schuetz of Awesome Maps recently started a Kickstarter project to fund his latest map: Bucketlistmap. They already have done 3 maps already: surftripmap, snowtripmap, and footballmap. Now they are working on their latest map which will contain “all the amazing things that you can see and do on this planet”. As avid travelers and surfing fanatics, we returned from a surf trip through Europe in 2009 to find something disappointing: we wanted to plot our trip on a map, but no map lived up to the awesomeness of our experiences. So, we decided to make one ourselves. I rarely post Kickstarter projects, but I really like this one. Simon from Worldmaps is in the process of creating a brand new, illustrated world map, the Bucketlist Map.
