DeltaMaker LLC, an Orlando, Florida based startup, is bringing a touch of elegance to personal 3D printers with a new product launch on crowd-funding website Kickstarter. Over the first five days, the campaign has raised over $60,000 towards a $107,000 goal. The Kickstarter campaign offered early adopters deep discounts. The “best deal ever” tier, selling printers for $499 each, sold out in 48 minutes. Printers are currently available for $1399, heading towards a final Kickstarter price of $1,599. After the campaign ends, the printer is expected to retail for $1,999, with initial Kickstarter shipments targeted for June. (Read More)

DeltaMaker is a clean looking personal 3D printer built on a delta robot platform. It has a rigid aluminum extrusion construction. The delta robot was invented by a team led by Reymond Clavel in the early 1980's.
