Whispering Willows was launched on Kickstarter back in 2013 by Night Light Interactive, exceeding its funding goal by about $5K. Since then, it has been Greenlit on Steam and has been released on the OUYA. The Whispering Willows concept seems great: the further you get into the game, the more the story unfolds, and the deeper you dive into the narrative. Your character is Elena and your goal is to save your father. At the beginning of the game, you learn that you’re able to astrally project your inner-self, allowing your “ghost” form to travel in interesting ways and perform tasks that you couldn’t do in your human form. By helping ghosts and solving puzzles, you learn more about the Willows mansion (the game’s setting) and gradually move towards saving your father’s life. There's no shortage of Kickstarter campaigns for adventures these days, but time's running out for Nightlight Interactive's supernatural puzzler Whispering Willows. Whispering Willows tells the story of young girl named Elena as she searches for her missing father in the mysterious Willows Mansion. In order to overcome the many obstacles in her way, Elena must "harness the powers of her heritage, utilizing astral projection and other ethereal abilities to find him before it's too late." (Read More)

In order to get game developers to contribute to the OUYA project, OUYA and Kill Screen collaborated together and launched the CREATE Game Jam. The event was a massive success for OUYA, drawing in around 165 game developers. They drew in developers with special grand prizes, like a $20,000 grand prize, and a $5000 prize for each winner in the specialized categories. (Read More)

The 10-day developer challenge from Kill Screen called OUYA CREATE has come to a close with 22 games in total being selected as finalists in a variety of categories, all of which have rather interesting names.
